the right solution for
Roof insulation
A roof is one of the most crucial parts of a building. Primarily it provides weather protection but it is also the part where the greatest loss of energy occurs. Sloping roofs come in many different forms. The slope of the roof, the choice of roofing material
or the use of solar panels are all factors in choosing the right materials for roof insulation.
For a durable and
healthy roof structure
During the open construction phase, building membranes from Meuwissen Gerritsen protect the building from leakage. So for breathable and waterproof roofing membranes, you’ve come to the right place. When the roofing is in place, the membrane will act as an insulating layer that prevents cold wind from entering the insulation package. Membranes suitable for application on sloping roofs are rainproof and breathable. This allows moisture in the structure to breathe out and keeps both the structure and the insulation dry. The waterproof roofing membrane prevents water from leaking in when vapour condenses against the underside of the roofing or when wind blows rain and snow under the tiles.
As such, our building membranes are a crucial component for sustainable and healthy construction. A number of factors are important when choosing the right membrane. In the case of flat dark tile or zinc roofs, the temperature can rise considerably. Here it is important to use a membrane that can withstand these high temperatures.
When installing solar panels, make sure that the membrane under the solar panels is able to remain effective for a long period of time. In the case of monumental buildings, sometimes at the request of the curb, it is decided to replace the original reclamed roof tiles after renovation. The stress of UV radiation on the membrane due to the tiles not closing completely can cause a regular membrane to degrade sooner. A black UV resistant membrane is indispensable in such cases. Faintly sloping roofs also require the use of a membrane with higher rain loads and VASTR® nail sealing tape under the battens to ensure water tightness.
Replacing a roof can be a costly endeavor. Therefore, we are happy to advise you in advance when choosing the right membrane so that the roof and insulation are protected for a long time.
