Tyvek® FireCurb Housewrap

Tyvek® FireCurb Housewrap is a waterproof, breathable flame-retardant facade membrane composed of a single layer of 100% HDPE. The membrane is highly resistant to high temperatures and retains its strength and structural properties over the long term.

Applications

Tyvek® FireCurb Housewrap is used as a fire-retardant, waterproof, extremely breathable layer behind facade cladding in new construction or renovation in exterior facades. This membrane is completely waterproof. When applied to the roof only in conjunction with hard roof boarding for full support.

Installation

Tyvek® FireCurb Housewrap can be used in facades directly on both hard and soft substrates. Apply the membrane in a shingle fashion. For overlaps, maintain a minimum of 150 mm and a maximum of 200 mm. The membrane is applied to the structure using stainless steel staples. For corner solutions, convert the membrane to the next batten, where it is fastened with staples and/or a pinch bar. Always apply Tyvek® FireCurb Housewrap legibly from the outside.
