Applications
VASTR® Nail sealing tape should be used for watertight sealing of roof membranes under wooden slat on roof pitches less than 25°. The VASTR® Nail sealing tape is wider than the standard batten, keeping the batten clear of the roof membrane. This keeps the batten dry and water will not be able to pass through perforation of screw or nail.
Installation
To ensure good adhesion, the substrate must be made dust-free. Adhesion of VASTR® Nail sealing tape is not possible on frozen substrates. Apply the VASTR® Nail sealing tape to the roof membrane in vertical strips. Then apply the batten over the center of the VASTR® Nail sealing tape so that both sides of the batten show the VASTR® Nail sealing tape.
