Applications
VASTR® Protect tape is used as a tape for applying protective films to window frames, elements and doors. In particular, glazed and painted window frames (concept 3) are easily damaged during transport or construction. By properly wrapping the frames with VASTR® Protect tape, the elements and frames are less likely to be damaged which reduces failure costs. In particular, when removing the film through the tear-off perforation, the film can be removed without a cutter in an easy operation.
Installation
VASTR® Protect tape can be applied directly to most substrates without primer due to the high initial tack of the VASTR® adhesive layers. The substrate must be dry, dust- and grease-free before the tape can be applied. Apply the 20mm adhesive layer by removing the release liner and attaching it to the face of frame or element. After application, rub down well so that the adhesion is well pressed everywhere. Keep the tear-off perforation 2 to 3 mm from the edge. Flip the VASTR® Protect over and gradually remove the release membrane from the 50mm VASTR® adhesive layer and simultaneously press on the packaging or protective membrane.
